November 9–11, 2015, State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI) hosted Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI general director Dr. Hans Wanner and his assistant Manuela Schilliger.
The visit was focused on the important issues of main regulatory activities in Lithuania and Switzerland. Representatives from VATESI presented main nuclear power safety issues in Lithuania, overviewed implementation of VATESI internal integrated management system as well as VATESI emergency center. Colleagues from Switzerland were interested in the regulatory activities and functions, practices of safety regulation and visited Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
